Not done. Folks agreed it iwasn't needed for the task at hand. --Pi zero (discuss • contribs) 14:26, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[]

A bunch of subpages of A-level Computing 2009 have problematic {{DISPLAYTITLE}} where title= is displayed in the page title, I plan to fix it using AWB and there are ~260 pages (1, 2) affected and I do not want to flood Special:RecentChanges. example edits. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 07:52, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[]

Go ahead and flood recent changes. < 300 changes in RC isn't a big issue. QuiteUnusual (discuss • contribs) 09:07, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[]
Done, thanks. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 10:41, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[]

Granted, and removed, as requested. QuiteUnusual (discuss • contribs) 08:19, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[]

Hi again. I'd like to request for flood to tag hundreds of pages (subpages of Pinyin) for deletion using AWB. @QuiteUnusual: as the only one who can give me the right temporarily. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 03:32, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[]

~700 pages to be tagged. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 03:58, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[]
Done. Please ping me to remove it when done. QuiteUnusual (discuss • contribs) 15:35, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[]

Done as there's sufficient support. QuiteUnusual (discuss • contribs) 14:54, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[]

Hello all, I'd like to request for +sysop rights to help out with day to day tasks here. I've been editing this wiki for quite some time, any I've been doing my best in fixing lint errors, format cleanup of some pages. Well I do understand that I already have access to admin tools as I'm a global-sysop, there are some stuff that I refrain from doing (as there are many active admins here), such as localised cleanup of content, deleting out of scope pages, etc. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 12:42, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[]

@Minorax: The Wikibooks' global rights policy is explicit in that global sysops are allowed to use any of the rights in their toolkit, and we are quite open to it unlike some other wikis. You can definitely delete out of scope pages here like any local admin (even if there are "local" admins), and I would personally prefer that you continue using your global sysop rights instead of requesting adminship here since you gain very little from a technical standpoint. @Leaderboard: Ok then, consider this withdrawn. Thought that it was a normal policy where GS are allowed to only do non-controversial tasks from a global POV. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 13:25, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[]
Wikibooks is a bit different; this has been reiterated by @QuiteUnusual: amongst others (correct me if I'm wrong). Leaderboard (discuss • contribs) 13:35, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[]
AFAIK, the global sysop toolkit was created to help stewards combat x-wiki spam/large scale vandalism and not have jurisdiction over local content. As a global sysop myself, I would not want to poke my head into a wiki where there is an active community or when it isn't an emergency. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 13:56, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[]
Ad, Seems like there's something within the toolkit that I need, which is the flood flag. --Minorax (discuss • contribs) 03:15, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[]
  • Support only because Global sysops can't change user rights. SHB2000 (discuss • contribs) 05:53, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[]

  • Support I know it's withdrawn, but Minorax does good work. If it helps them out, I'm for it. --Mbrickn (discuss • contribs) 05:55, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[]
  • Support Being a global sysop should not be held against a candidate, its better to be a local sysop too if they are a member of the community and are active enough. User can be trusted, valid use case, LGTM --DannyS712 (discuss • contribs) 13:45, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[]
  • Support. —Hasley (discuss • contribs) 01:04, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[]
  • Support I don't see any issues with this. —Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 15:24, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[]
  • Oppose weakly. Why were so many edits removing considerable contents on 31 July 2021 marked minor?--Jusjih (discuss • contribs) 04:50, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[]
  • Support already a GS, trusted and will not abuse tools. LGTM. JavaHurricane (discuss • contribs) 09:28, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[]
