Steven is a character in the Pokémon video game series.

He was the champion of Hoenn's Elite Four in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. He is also the son of Mr. Stone of the Devon Corporation. In the Emerald Version, he disappears and his spot is taken by Wallace, but the player will be able to face him later at Meteor Falls after beating the Elite Four and Wallace. He is an expert on Steel types.

His first name, "Steven", derived from the name "Stephen", which originated from the name Greek name "Stephanos", meaning "crown". It's very similar to the word "stone" that is actually his surname. His first names first syllable also resembles "steel". His German name and surnames cames from "trummer" ("rubbles"). His French name literally means "stone" and his surname is quite similar to "rocher" ("rock"). His Italian name is very similar to "roccia" ("rock") and his surname derives from "pietra" ("stone"). Anime Appearance

Steven made an appearance in the episode "A Hole Lotta Trouble". The only Pokémon of his revealed in the episode was Aggron. Despite having a much bigger role in the games, he was only seen once in the anime, with his plotline in the Kyogre-Groudon saga being taken over by Lance.
