A line segment is a part of a line with two defined endpoints, while an angle is the amount of spread between two rays or lines that share a common point, called the vertex. Angles can be formed by segments, and both can be measured or divided. For example, an angle bisector is a ray that divides an angle into two equal smaller angles, just as a segment bisector divides a segment into two equal parts. .
